Our Story

West Side Missionary Baptist Church has been in the West Oakland community for over 80 years. We are happy to be able to not only help our community spiritually but also connect with community members on a personal level. We strive to help those around us through community organizing, taking on issues such as No Coal in Oakland, helping to solve the homeless epidemic through our Safe Car Park program, and helping to tackle affordable housing in the city of Oakland.
